Two pumpkin recipes in a row? Yes! I love pumpkin flavored anything. Unfortunately, most of the pumpkin flavored treats out there (think pumpkin spice latte) are made of artificial flavorings and contain tons of added sugar. To get my pumpkin fill in a healthy way I switch up my green smoothie routine to this pumpkin pie smoothie recipe with a healthy dose of omega 3 fatty acids from the pumpkin seeds. It’s vegan, it balances your blood sugar and it’s basically pie for breakfast!
Pumpkin Pie Smoothie Recipe
3/4 cup canned pumpkin
1/2 cup almond or coconut milk
1/2 cup water
2 tbsp raw shelled pumpkin seeds (pepitas)
1/2 scoop Vega Vanilla Sport Protein powder
1 tbsp unsweetened shredded coconut
1 tsp cinnamon
Pinch of nutmeg
Directions: Blend until smooth and enjoy!
