International Women’s Day Giveaway

By March 8, 2016Giveaways

Today is International Women’s Day: A day to celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievement of women.

In honor of International Women’s Day I have teamed up with a couple of organizations that have women’s backs and stand for women’s safety.

The first is Kuros! A pepper spray with a cause. Kuro Tawil created an organization where he goes to countries where women suffer from sexual violence in huge numbers (like India and South Africa), and does pepper spray drops. Here’s an excerpt from his website.

“Sexual violence is a huge and often ignored issue around the globe. In many countries where the laws and justice system are ineffective, women are stuck in desperate need of immediate physical protection. They need an opportunity to take their protection -and their lives – into their own hands. They need an opportunity to break free from relying on the protection of others; they need an opportunity to grow and develop as individuals without living under the constant fear of being unarmed and alone.

For every Kuros!™ product sold, a can of pepper spray is provided to a woman who could not otherwise afford it. While pepper spray is legal and sold in many countries, it is not economically attainable to the billion plus people across the globe living in poverty.

The peaceful protests, the organized rallies, and the cries for government intervention have gone unanswered for too long. Let us do something right here, right now and help give these women around the world a fighting chance.” – Kuro Tawil

Kuro has teamed up with Sabre, another of my favorite brands supporting women, to create the Kuros! pepper spray which is included in this giveaway. Sabre not only creates personal safety products, teams up with Kuros! to support women around the world but also teams up with RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network) and the National Breast Cancer Foundation and donates a portion of proceeds to their foundations.

I’m excited to announce this huge International Women’s Day Giveaway!
