Jennifer Cassetta

Jennifer is national self-defense expert, clinical nutritionist, fitness expert, speaker and author. She wears many hats, and at the end of the day her mission is steadfast: to help people be their strongest, safest and sexiest selves.

After a near brush with disaster running from the ashes on 9-11, Jennifer realized that she felt her most confident and of service when she was training in martial arts. She traded in her event marketing job for a life-long career in nutrition, fitness and self defense.

For the next decade, Jennifer trained under a nationally recognized, top HapKiDo instructor in the country at World Martial Arts Center. In 2005, she completed the Institute for Integrative Nutrition health coach training program and later graduated with a Master’s degree in Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport. She did this while building a successful personal training practice in lower Manhattan with VIP clientele including CEO’s, celebs and even royalty.

After teaching thousands of martial arts classes, private client sessions and testing for her 3rd degree black belt in Hapkido, she moved to Los Angeles for a sunnier lifestyle in 2009.

Here she created the Stilettos and Self Defense DVD series and began teaching workshops across the country at universities and corporations. She consulted for a Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) video game, managed test groups for Beachbody, was featured in a workout video with Tony Horton and traveled around the country training trainers in P90X. One of her all-time favorite projects was traveling around the world (China, Africa, Dubai, Brazil, and Europe) with a VIP client as his private traveling health coach and making smoothies on the private jet.

Jennifer has had the honor of appearing on The Doctors, Rachael RayE!, Bethenny, Marie Osmond and even taught Princess Leia herself, the late and great Carrie Fisher, self defense on The Today Show. She’s contributed to countless publications like NY Times, Women’s Health, Shape, and Marie Claire, Huffington Post and Livestrong.com

She co-authored her first book, Hear Me Roar: How to Defend Your Mind, Body and Heart Against People Who Suck in 2014 and was recently a featured expert on ABC’s weight loss reality show, My Diet is Better Than Yours.

Safety and nutrition brands look to Jennifer as a spokesperson and the media keeps her on speed dial when looking for safety and wellness tips. Jennifer’s passion about keeping people strong and safe is evident in her empowering presentation style and unwavering commitment to women’s health and safety.
