Coconut is superfood for athletes. By now, we know that coconut water is great to replenish electrolytes after a sweaty workout. But did you know that coconut butter is an excellent post workout replenisher? It’s packed with lauric acid which helps boost immunity by fighting off gross bacteria, viruses and fungi. It’s healthy fat content after a long run or intense strength workout will leave you fueled for your next workout. Don’t bother counting calories here. This recovery smoothie is for athletes who train hard!
Ingredients:
- 1 serving Vega Vanilla Sport Performance Protein (25g)
- 2 Tbsp coconut butter
- 1 frozen banana
- ¼ cup unsweetened shredded coconut
- 2 Tbsp ground flax
- 1 1/2 cup coconut milk beverage
Instructions:
Add all ingredients to blender with ice, and blend until smooth!
