Green smoothies can be a great trick to help your body get over a sugar splurge by alkalizing your body. The problem is that a lot of smoothie recipes out there contain a ton of high sugar content fruit which is not good for blood sugar or your body’s PH levels.
This smoothie recipe I made has the right amount of greens and the perfect amount of sweet. Not to mention, figs have an enormous amount of potassium making them a great post workout treat.
Green Fig Alkalizing Smoothie
Serves: 1
Ingredients:
1/2 cup almond milk
1/2 cup water
1/4 banana
1/4 cucumber
1 large frozen green fig
1 cup baby spinach (loosely packed)
3 Brazil nuts
1/2 to 1 scoop VegaOne Vanilla protein powder
3-4 ice cubes
Directions:
1. Place all ingredients in your blender and blend until smooth.
