A self-described Femin Arab and feminist fire starter, Lina is the founder of Better For Women, a boutique advisory firm dedicated to solving global women’s rights challenges.
With experiences spanning over three decades in countries like Afghanistan, Haiti, and the Central African Republic, Lina’s work focuses on empowering women globally. In our conversation, we delved into her journey and the motivations behind her activism.

Lina is a global women’s rights activist, author, and speaker with three decades of experience worldwide. Lina is also the Founder and Chief Changemaker of Better4Women, a boutique advisory firm creating impactful, real-world solutions to global women’s rights challenges.
As a humanitarian aid worker in countries in crisis, Lina’s work has taken her to Afghanistan, Haiti, the Central African Republic, Papua New Guinea, and over 20 countries worldwide. As an academic, Lina spent nearly a decade as the Executive Director of The Arab Institute for Women at the Lebanese American University. She also serves as senior advisor to a range of organizations and sits on many international boards.
Lina is a global and TEDx speaker, media voice, and author of three books. She has received numerous awards and accolades for her work, including the Gender Equality Top 100 Worldwide.
